What makes Emaweni so extraordinary
The English translation of the Zulu word Emaweni means "Place of many Cliffs". The ranch is situated on the top of the hills - about 1.200 m high. In the valley below at about 600 meters lies the great and historic Tugela river (Zulu: Thukela) which forms the boundary to Zululand for about 9 km.
On nearly 7.500 acres of land, one can enjoy a splendid view, as well as the tranquillity and enormous variety of the landscape, ranging from luxurious, indigenous bush to open plains. Behind each cliff, one is presented with a scene of the unique flora and fauna that South Africa has to offer.
One of our ideas in order to create a more personal and intimate atmosphere, was to take in a smaller amount of guests. Whether as a couple or in a group, our romantic camp will be exclusively yours for the duration of your stay to ensure privacy and tranquillity for the discerning nature lover.
